One that I forgot
Reagan's birthday candy apple extraordinaire.
Something about this photo just cracks me up. Must just be the combination of Reagan's caramel filled face, the dreamy, envious, wish-she would-share look on Tag's face, and the fact that he is wearing gardening gloves.

Kindergarten Graduation
He is heading to Grade One!
His favorite thing about kindergarten was 'doing gym with Mr Scheer'.
They sang Puff the Magic Dragon and this poem (video below). I don't have a proper video camera so I made him recite it for me at home. I really wanted to remember it; it made me a little teary.
Nana was there too and Reagan and Hudson got to skip class for a bit.
Congratulations Tag! We're proud of you.

Welcome summer
We are glad you're here.
We have actually had more than one sunny day in a row before getting rained on this week so we are thinking summer has officially arrived.
We celebrated today with a picnic dinner at the park. A quick stop at the Wendy's drive-thru and we were good to go.(Hudson wanted Subway so of course we didn't get off without a hitch, but then we seldom do)
I sat while they played. Would have been perfect had I remembered my book.
Then the ice cream truck came by. They all found a spot to enjoy their treat.
Tag's started melting quickly but he got creative on how to avoid the drips.
Here's to many more summer picnics.

Besides sneezing like crazy
with the worst eye-rubbing, nose-blowing, kleenex loving allergies. Here's a few tid-bits of what we've been up to lately.
Taggart's class went on a field trip to Crescent Beach on what felt like the coldest day in June. Fun for about an hour digging in the tide pools for crabs and things. Then the kids were cold and wet and....done. So we left and we have the photos for a memory. Tag was quite pleased with this little fellow who wouldn't let go of his shovel.
We celebrated Father's Day with a trip to the nursery for our much neglected garden and a BBQ dinner. Cooper made coconut cream pie (Tony's fave) for dessert.
This beauty turned 8!
She wanted to go to White Rock for a dinner of fish-n-chips on the beach. It was cloudy, cold and looking like rain but she wanted to go anyway. So glad we did - the sun was out in all it's glory by the ocean and we had a fantastic night.
Nana joined us.
We saw a seal in the water (and lots of big crabs) while walking along the pier.
She caught her very first fish, with the help of a very kind young man on the end of the pier.
She got her toes wet.
A lovely night for a lovely girl on the first day of summer.
As we walked back up the pier to go get ice cream, she said to me
"This was my best day".
What more could you ask for.
Lastly, my bee-pops are done and have already been devoured by 21 kindergartners.
Something to remember....blogging about something that you haven't actually done yet really commits you to it. Note to self - blog about something only after it is already done.
How all these foodie bloggers have the where-with-all to actually take photos of the process and show step-by-step how all these little lovelies get made is beyond me. Trust me, no one would have wanted to see photos of me trying to attach 70+ little wings to 35+ little bees. All I can say is that my kids had cereal for dinner last night and spent a lot of time outside. I saw bees in my sleep. But the kids loved them, and so did Mrs. B and so did Tag. Mission accomplished.

Cooper's debut
Thought I would share these two video clips of Coop's debut on Clayburn Middle TV. He recently became involved in film club at school and they run the days' announcements live every morning in all the classrooms. He's pretty excited about it and I'm pretty proud.

How can I not??
Next Wednesday is Mrs. B's last day teaching of the year. Mrs. B is Tag's Wednesday kindergarten teacher. She only teaches one day a week but it is Tag's favorite day of the week. For her last day, they have appropriately named the day "Mrs. B Day". The kids are all meant to wear yellow and black and today Tag and I went to work crafting a little bee visor for him to wear. I'm not sure if we are even meant to send snacks, but seriously, how can I NOT send these? As I checked Bakerella's website tonight these were just staring at me. The timing was perfect. Now I just have to fit making all these cute little bees into my already crazy month of June.
But seriously, how can I not??
Hanging out
A bit of fun the other night when we actually had a nice evening without rain.
And fun it was until...
the tickling...
and the slapping...
and the shorts pulling started.
Surprisingly...there were NO tears. Just a bit of fun, hanging out.
